Sconyer`s Restaurant in Augusta

BBQ is a southern tradition and they do it right at Sconyers. Sconyers Bar-B-Que was founded in 1956. When Claude and Adeline Sconyers could no longer make a living at farming they decided to give their hobby a try.  With their children grown and no one to help them on the farm, they opened Sconyers Bar-B-Que.So on my quest to find great BBQ we tried Sconyers. The Plantation Platter (House Specialty) (1/4 Chicken or Sliced Turkey , 2 Meaty Ribs, Chopped Brisket and Chipped Pork) we had the chicken not the Turkey and we ordered coleslaw. The ribs were fall off the bone good and the chopped brisket was fantastic. I was not a fan of the coleslaw but overall this is a great place for a BBQ dinner.

The BEST potato salad!! Excellent balance - not too much mustard or mayonnaise and never mushy. Know the family and know it's homemade. Always delicious!! Excellent pork loin! The fresh bread is always something to look forward to and they have the best tea! (Sorry, can't comment on anyone's hash since I don't eat it although I know many people that love it here.)

When it comes to BBQ and you want the best the South can offer, Sconyers BBQ is our go to! Once you turn into the parking lot you are met with Southern ambience! When you walk in you feel like you have stepped into colonial times! So the log cabin building causes you to step back in time and everything they serve brings you into BBQ paradise! Great family experience! Their hash is impeccable, there pulled pork is smoked to perfection and their selection of sauces give every BBQ fanatic exactly what they want!

Very good BBQ, loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. It's a little hidden gem up on the hill past the Windsor Springs Rd/Peach Orchard Rd exit that we literally just happened to stumble across trying to leave that big shopping center further down the hill. They really need better and more obvious advertising at the main road. Anyways, loved the rustic feel they are going for. Food Was delicious and the staff was very polite. Great service. Once this COVID pandemic is further behind us, will definitely be going back!

We are from Idaho and our hotel recommended this is where we will find the best authentic southern barbecue in Augusta. I was not disappointed, it was absolutely amazing. I ordered the sample plate. Stephanie was our waitress tonight. We loved the southern Hospitality. Great experience on every level. Thank you.

Very disappointed, drove 800 miles to come here for a wedding and some true southern Ribs. Server tells us, sorry we're out of RIB, CHICKEN AND HASH, my heart dropped , this was everything I wanted. They sure don't know how to manage the already downsized menu. 2 stars is being generous Thanks for nothing
